There's an App for That

Capo App

Capo helps you learn to play the music in your iPod library. By slowing down the music without affecting its pitch, you can learn to play it slowly, and then speed it up as you improve. You can drop markers at key points in the song, and set loop points to repeat them. In addition to letting you choose songs from your iPod library, Capo will let you quickly add the currently-playing song from your iPod, placing the cursor right where you left off listening.

This app is available from the iTunes App Store for $19.99. (Can't see the video? View it in a browser.)

Tip of the Month

Circle of Fifths

We have often been asked by teachers for a small poster of the Circle of Fifths that they can hang up in a teaching studio or give to students to keep in the front of their music folders. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to find a product from our vendors that has the neccesary information without getting cluttered or too busy.

So, as a service to our teachers and students, we are now printing our own complimentary Circle of Fifths charts. The file we are using is non-copyrighted, so you are free to make copies as needed. You can pick them up on cardstock the next time you visit us, or follow this link to print them from home. We hope this becomes a helpful resource for you.

Staff in the Spotlight

Brian Price

Brian Price has been with The Music Store since 2006. In addition to being a wonderful guitar player and a mentor to our new staff members, Brian is a sensational cook. He just finished his classes at the Arizona Culinary Institute and will soon begin his internship to become a chef. Brian’s background in music includes piano and violin, and he knows his way around the sheet music department, but his best music skills are utilized in the amp room with an electric guitar. Brian is our most knowledgeable guitar and amp sales person, and he can help you with a selection from the most basic to the most expensive. Brian Price
