worthwhile. We also want to thank this year’s clinician, Dr. Gregory Gentry, and our accompanist, Lesli Hanson, for
their efforts in making this a successful session.

repertoire list for the Fall. Either way, Summer is a great time to stock up on music because during the month of July,

Mimicking the layout of Hohner's Corona Classic diatonic accordion, these virtual
accordion apps feature a super responsive, 25-button three-row fingerboard that plays and sounds like the traditional
instrument. The Hohner Squeezebox apps allow musicians to practice chord combinations, scales, and songs on-the-go.
Players may select to have the note names displayed on the large white pearloid buttons. With the touch of a button, the
tonality can be changed from "wet tuning" giving an animated sound, to "dry tuning". This app is ideal for the beginning
student or professional musician who needs a simple carry-on companion to compliment his or her actual accordion. While not
meant to be a replacement for a real accordion, the app is a convenient and easy tool for practicing, learning, or
teaching.
iPad versions of the Hohner SqueezeBox are available from the iTunes Store in BbEbAb, ADG,GCF,FBbEb, and EAD for $2.99 each. iPhone and iPod Touch versions of the Hohner Mini SqueezeBox are available in GCF, FBbEb, and EAD for $0.99 each.
For the month of July, take 10% off all Planet Waves Cables, 20% off all D'Addario Strings, and 30% off all Planet Waves Straps when you bring in the coupon.
The third installment in our complimentary strings fingerboard charts, this month features two new charts for cello players - one for the beginner player that displays only natural and sharp notes, and one for the advancing player that shows natural, sharp, and flat notes. The files we have created are non-copyrighted, so you are free to make copies as needed. You can pick them up on card stock the next time you visit us, or print the beginning chart or advanced chart from home. Bass fingerboard charts will be following in a future newsletter.
We've continued this chart series because we've received feedback from teachers that these charts are helpful teaching aids. Do you have an idea for a chart that you haven't been able to find? Let us know!
"The life of Jaco Pastorious has been my great early summer lesson. His amazing ability has always been a curiosity to me. After reading the book on his life story and re-listening to his recordings, now I know! His tireless practice and study led him to skills beyond all that came before him. I encourage you to check out his recordings with Weather Report, Joni Mitchell & Pat Metheny." - JP
Here's our favorite music-related video for this month. We hope you like it as much as we did.
